195 South Africans die every day from some form of heart and blood vessel disease (cardiovascular disease). That is a staggering 71,175 deaths a year; and of these, heart attacks are responsible for about 33 deaths per day!

It is evident that most people don't think about the health of their hearts until it's too late. Thousands of South Africans make everyday choices that increase their risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). This results in the unnecessary loss of around 156 lives every day! That is 56,940 a year. However, up to 80% of CDV can be avoided by making simple healthy lifestyle and diet choices.
